Privacy Policy

Monitoring technology earns trust only when you can see what it records, who can view it and how to change your mind. K. S. Sembawang Digital Care Pte Ltd collects the household information needed to support safety and care awareness, with access controlled by consent.

02 / Permissions

Who can see what, and why

Access follows the roles approved for a household. A family connection does not automatically grant access. The household contact can ask us to change permissions when care arrangements change.

Household contact

The person who arranges the setup can manage authorised viewers and the features selected for the home, subject to the consent of the people affected.

  • Review configured devices, alerts and household permissions.
  • Request a change or removal of an authorised viewer.

Family caregiver

A caregiver can see only the information made available through their approved role. For example, that may include selected alerts or activity summaries rather than every device event.

  • Use access for the agreed care purpose.
  • Ask the household contact to change access when circumstances shift.

Care provider or organisation

Organisational access must be covered by the relevant service arrangement and permissions. The organisation is responsible for using information only for the agreed care or service purpose.

  • Access is limited to the service and role that have been agreed.
  • Provider arrangements set out responsibilities for handling records.
Private areas stay private. Configure privacy zones to exclude areas such as bathrooms from monitoring visibility where the device and service settings allow it. Access changes are recorded where the system supports an audit history. Ask us which controls apply to your setup.
03 / Safeguards

Retention, security and vendors

We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the stated purpose, service obligations or legal requirements. When a record is no longer needed, it is deleted or de-identified where appropriate.

Clear retention limits

Routine enquiry records are kept for up to 24 months after the last contact. Alert history is kept for up to 90 days, and activity trends for up to 12 months, unless you request deletion or a legal or service need requires a different period.

Access controls

Access is limited to people who need information for their assigned work or authorised household role. We use safeguards such as access controls and encryption in transit where supported by the service and device connection.

Service providers

We may use providers for hosting, connectivity and device support. They may handle data only to provide contracted services and must protect it under their service obligations. We do not sell household data.

Record type Usual retention Why it is kept
Enquiry records Up to 24 months after last contact To respond to requests and maintain service correspondence.
Alert history Up to 90 days To display recent alerts and support household review.
Activity trends Up to 12 months To provide configured summaries and track changes over time.
Back-up copies Removed through the provider's normal back-up cycle To support service recovery; deleted records may remain in protected back-ups until rotation.

These are usual limits, not a promise that every record is stored for the full period. We may retain information longer where a legal obligation, dispute or active service need requires it. We disclose information only with proper authority, to contracted providers for service delivery, or where Singapore law requires disclosure.

04 / Your choices

Your access, correction and contact options

You can ask what personal data we hold, request a correction, or withdraw consent for an optional use. We may need to verify your identity and authority before making a change.

Request access

Write to us with your name, contact details and a clear description of the information you are seeking. If the request concerns another household member, include evidence that you are authorised to act for them. We aim to acknowledge requests within five business days and respond within 30 days where practicable. We will explain if more time is needed.

Correct a record

Tell us which record is inaccurate and provide the corrected detail. We will check the request, update information where appropriate and let you know when it has been handled. If we cannot make the change, we will explain why.

Change or withdraw consent

Contact us or the household contact to remove a viewer, change a permission or stop an optional feature. We will explain any effect on alerts or service functions. Withdrawal does not affect handling that took place before the change, or retention required by law.

This policy describes our approach to personal data in line with applicable Singapore privacy obligations, including the Personal Data Protection Act 2012. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Personal Data Protection Commission Singapore for information about your options.
